Camp Sonshine 2020 Registration Update:
Dear Parent(s),

After a lot of research on online registration formats, I’ve decided that the best way to handle Camp Sonshine registration will be for you to simply mail in your forms and registration checks to the church.

That being said, here is how Camp Sonshine registration will work:
-
Kid’s Place families & members of SUMC will have from April 21-April 27 to turn in registration paperwork. Envelopes must be postmarked or received in that timeframe.
-
Returning Camp Sonshine families (that had a child attend in 2019) will have from April 28-May 4 to turn in paperwork. Envelopes must be postmarked or received in that timeframe. Paperwork will be processed as I receive it. Spots will be given on a first come first serve basis as usual.
-
All paperwork is available to print from our website, www.SUMCKPCS.com
-
We require separate checks for registration, t-shirts, and swim lessons.
-
PLEASE turn in paperwork during your designated timeslot and not earlier.
-
I am going to do my best to let everyone know individually when your paperwork has been processed. Keep in mind that this may take a few days.
-
Registration fees are $100 per child this year. I completely understand that we have some parents that may not have an income right now. If paying the registration fee is going to be a struggle for you, please contact me.

Registration paperwork should be mailed to the church & addressed to Camp Sonshine:

A few notes regarding Camp Sonshine 2020:
-
Camp will run from the week of June 8 through the week of August 3 if we are able. With the ever changing situation that we are in, it’s possible that we may not be able to open on June 8. You will not be charged for weeks that we are not open.
-
If we are open, and you have signed up for the week, you are obligated to pay for it. I know that there are many unknowns this summer with work schedules, sports camps, band camps, etc, but we rely heavily on registration numbers to run camp efficiently. Signing up for weeks that you do not need also takes a spot from another potential camper.
-
As stated in my last remind message, some things at Camp Sonshine may look different this year. At this point we have all of our field trips scheduled but it’s possible that some of them will be canceled. These are things that are out of our control and we will do our best with what we can.
-
SWIM LESSONS: I spoke with PORTA pool and they are planning to be open and still want to offer lessons. These are a great opportunity for our low beam campers. They are open to the first 35 low beams that are signed up. IF we do not end up going to PORTA pool this summer, the money paid for swim lessons will be given back to you in the form of a credit on your account.
